Main Duties: As a Copy Editor at Essex Media Group, I ensure accuracy and quality across diverse publications in a fast-paced environment spanning nine cities and towns. My role involves reviewing, fact-checking, editing, and enhancing content for various platforms, including a daily newspaper, a 24/7 news website, weekly newspapers, a real estate publication, and four lifestyle and golf magazines. I collaborate daily with the newsroom team, focusing on clarity and flow. I extend my editing expertise to social media content, headlines, and cuts, maintaining a consistent standard of polished, error-free, and engaging material for our broad audience.

Main Duties: Covering political, legislative, and education-related stories; attending Massachusetts state agencies’ meetings; developing professional connections with state legislatures. Two of my articles were included in the Politico and MassInsider newsletters.

Main Duties: Producing and editing international and local news stories daily (including breaking news), using Associated Press and Euronews online resources; conducting thorough political and legal research about assigned topics (including filtering and visualizing data for news shows); monitoring social media; assisting production team with graphics and gathering video elements; copy editing for the reporters; assisting a senior producer with the newscast and fact-checking;  doing voiceovers; editing packages; pre-interviewing the respondents; coordinating with other Euronews stations to gather content; communicating with public agencies and organizations to confirm information;  translating video magazines from English to Georgian.

  • Main Duties: Maintaining and monitoring project plans and project schedules; organizing, attending, and participating in stakeholder meetings; creating databases; assisting the project manager in developing project strategies. Additionally, I contributed to writing the 2021 Election Law Reform proposal for the Georgian government.

10/2016 - 06/2017 | Ministry of Refugees of Georgia. Quality Unit Intern.

  • Main Duties: Quality check of the refugee status granting procedures; planning, organizing, and managing the special study courses to improve the department’s overall performance; writing training modules on human rights issues; producing minute sheets of the asylum procedures and attending the asylum interviews. I researched and created two training modules – “Interpreting in Asylum Procedures” and “The Freedom of Religion and Asylum Procedures,” and trained the Refugee Department of the Ministry. 

06/2014 - 08/2014 | Central Election Commission of Georgia. Research Assistant of the Commissioner.

  • Main Duties: Assisting the commissioner with conducting Election Law-related research concerning Georgian, German, and American election law practices.

  • Main Duties: Attending testimonies concerning the breaches of media law and freedom of expression in Georgia. Filing reports in Georgian and English. Providing international organizations with reports and translating the final report of the Commission of Inquiry.

  • Main Duties: Providing translations of the various legal documents for the protection officers; conducting legal and political research; attending the asylum, refugee, and IDP interviews; providing the officers with reports; and assisting the office with various administrative tasks. Interpreting from Georgian to English and Russian and vice versa.

    I co-founded the viral social campaign that increased the tourism rate in Georgia by 14% in the summer of 2019 and and received a National Award from the National Tourism Agency for Extraordinary Contribution to Georgian Tourism.
